Zen Backgrounds

About three years ago I had this really great idea for something I wanted to make. I talked to a friend and we both dove in—excitedly at first, and then as the work started piling up—decidedly less so. We both had full time jobs and, well, you know. But then inspiration struck again for another project—a website dedicated to photos designed to beautify your iPhone. Never mind there are countless sites out there that do the same thing. The problem is they all feature other people's photos, and most of the sites just look like crap to boot. I wanted a site that was nearly as simple and beautiful as the photos and of the iPhone itself (and iPad too).

We went back to work and started making progress, but as happens our aspirations began to outpace our progress, and we were soon buried again. So I sat on the idea. For another two years. Life got in the way, I switched jobs, became a father, and then finally decided to get this thing off the ground.

So finally, at long last, I am proud to bring you zenbackgrounds.com: beautiful photos for your iOS devices, with new photos featured every Monday and Thursday. Until the end of time.
